What is this?

Rockland County Info started as a simple idea: make the county's licensed contractor data actually useful. The county publishes a list of every licensed home improvement contractor, but it's buried in a government spreadsheet that's hard to search.

We took that data, cleaned it up, organized it by trade and location, and made it searchable. Then we added town guides, demographics, and community events.

Where does the data come from?

Contractor data comes directly from the Rockland County Department of Consumer Protection. It's refreshed weekly. Town demographics come from census data. Events are aggregated from town websites, libraries, and community organizations.

Who runs this?

This site is maintained by a Rockland County resident. It's not affiliated with Rockland County government. It's a community resource, free to use.
